A real-time warping multi-projector media server using STMAP luts

Smuggler's Run using four overlapping 4K projections fed via real-time game engine.



A single panoramic media source termed the "Artist's Canvas" allows for a simple viewpoint for media creation in Maya or Photoshop, etc.


 

A mesh card screen is made to represent each projector's content, and a video player node is added to the screen.

The STMAP (generated via a structured light scan of the projectors) used as the UV table.


A lut shader is attached to the screen's material, referencing the panorama media for RGB.



When viewed from a predetermined eye-point, the surround projection is fed to (three in this case) projectors from the single artist's canvas rendering and appears to be a single continuous panoramic movie.
